Wala is a lovely little island off NE Malekula. A
small Nambas village closeby on the mainland has preserved their
traditional lifestyle and demonstrate their spectacular custom dances.
Accommodation: The attractive thatched
bungalows are located right on a black sandy beach.
Facilities: the beach restaurant offers a
fixed menu and good family cooking using local products and seafood.

guide. Lakatoro cultural centre; Small Nambas custom village-drums will
beat to announce your arrival and you will see ritual dances; Wala Tam-tam
tour to visit the traditional dancing grounds of Wala with their giant
wooden slit-drums; Half day tour to the neighbouring island of Rano; Blue
wind tour-visit other islands in the sailing canoe; Half day tour to Vao
Island to witness the master carvers; Overnight tour to Fartapo Small
